    I needed this product to use as an A-B switch. I purchased a HD Phillips antenna-Indoors, & it has a regular cable lead, nmot an HDMI. So far I have not been able to find any adapters that will convert the HDMI to an RG-6 connector.

    Have cable box connected to Port 1 and Blu-Ray Player at Port 2. Both devices are turned off when not being used. Mostly use the cable box, infrequent use of the blu-ray player at this time. When I turn on TV the switch jumps from Port 1 to Port 4 (empty). Remote control allows me to navigate to Port 1 but does not “hold” and jumps back to Port 4. Have to manually change the port from the device itself. Contacted IOGear tech support but they obviously didn’t even read the complaint as they responded with a generic form indicating that I should contact the place of purchase.

    The switcher does not function consistently, must have dvd on before being able to switch to tv/cable view. Have to disconnect to get the change made. Not a stable system or reliable switcher. Plan to seek another to meet needs.

    Disregard this notice. Read on for the reason why. . .

    I originally rated this product with 2 stars since it did not work with my Apple TV. Since then, IOmega responded and said their unit would work with the ATV (after I RMA’d the original device). I bought another brand product only to find issues related to my HDMI cables. I ended up buying high-speed HDMI-2 cables and the other brand unit works fine.

    Since I cannot retract my original posting, I changed my 2 star rating to 4 on the basis of IOmega’s tech response and my experience with the cables.

    I gave this as a gift so I can’t comment from personal experience. However, person has said nothing but good things. It was able to be hooked up to several items. I purschased this item b/c after much research it was asked for by name. So, from what I can tell this was a very good product with no complaints. Shipping was fast, quality good.
