I wanted a package that would allow me to transfer videos from BETA to DVD. This one does it with ease!! It also works with VHS/CD/DVD. One thing you have to watch for. When recording from tape to disc, it will take some time. So you have to either sit and watch it or you can leave it and do other things but. . . you have to check it every so often for a 'signal loss' that stops the recording. I have found that this is generally a 'blip' in the tape. You can rewind the tape to that spot. . (it shows on your screen), and then start recording again and it is fine. The one thing I have not tried is 'minimizing' the program and doing something else on my computer. That would be really good. It is a super program. . . right up to Roxio's standards. I have Vista and a Dell laptop. You should definitely have the right specifications on your computer (memory, hard drive space) for this. If so, it works fine and I look forward to transferring a lot of memories onto DVD for posterity. The installation of the program could be improved. It took close to 45 min to install. At times the install process seemed to "hang". More visual install progress could be added.
